Justice Pamela B. Minzner Outstanding Advocacy for Women Award
The 2012 Justice Pamela B. Minzner Outstanding Advocacy for Women Award recognizes attorneys who have distinguished themselves during the prior year by providing legal assistance to women who are underrepresented or underserved or by advocating for causes that will ultimately benefit and/or further the rights of women.
2012 Holiday Reception and Award Ceremony
The Committee on Women and the Legal Profession is proud to announce that Elizabeth Rourke, Legal Director of Enlace Comunitario, is the recipient of the 2012 Justice Pamela B. Minzner Outstanding Advocacy for Women Award. Rourke is being recognized for her outstanding legal advocacy for women over the past year. The award recognizes attorneys who have distinguished themselves during the prior year by providing legal assistance to women who are underrepresented or underserved or by advocating for causes that will ultimately benefit and/or further the rights of women. Rourke embodies the spirit of the award through her public interest work with immigrant women who have been victims of domestic violence. More than one nomination was received on her behalf.
The Committee held a holiday reception and award ceremony in Rourke’s honor from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, at the Sheraton Uptown Hotel, 2600 Louisiana Blvd. NE, Albuquerque. Co-chair of the Committee on Women and the Legal Profession, Jennifer Anderson, presented the 2012 Justice Pamela B. Minzner Advocacy for Women Award to Elizabeth Rourke.
