Young Lawyers Division
The Young Lawyers Division participates in the Wills for Heroes Program, which provides essential legal documents free of charge to New Mexico’s first responders Services include wills, living wills, and powers of attorney. By planning now, first responders from local police and fire departments (including spouses and domestic partners) can ensure that their family's legal affairs are in order. Through the Wills for Heroes Program, attorneys are giving back to the community and "protecting those who protect us."

August 20th Event in Rio Rancho
The Young Lawyers Division will sponsor a Wills for Heroes event on
August 20 in Rio Rancho. Attorneys will draft wills and healthcare powers of attorney, free of charge, for qualified first responders from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. at the Rio Rancho Police Department, 500 Quantum Road, Rio Rancho. This is a great opportunity for YLD members to honor first responders and provide a valuable service to the community. For more information, contact Ben Sherman, BSherman@cabq.gov.
