YLD/UNM Law School Mentorship Program

The Young lawyers Division recruits mentors for the YLD/UNMSOL Mentorship Program.  The program has enjoyed great success in the past and look forward to continued success.  For members who have participated in the past, YLD encourages continued support with member wisdom and experience shared with a law student when the program starts up again next year.

For those members who are unfamiliar with the program or have not had the opportunity to participate in the past, its not an overwhelming time commitment.  YLD organizes two events, one in the Fall and one in the Spring.  These events are a great opportunity to not only meet and talk with a mentee, but also to network and catch up with old classmates and friends. 

This year YLD tried a new format.  In the past YLD matched mentors and mentees prior to the first organized social.  This year YLD tested “Speed Mentoring” at the first event.  This allows mentees to meet a number of mentors and vice versa.
