Attorneys to Address Dramatic Changes in Labor Law on Oct. 9
Albuquerque, N.M. – Seeing a need for a focused, in-depth view of current issues facing labor and employment law attorneys, the State Bar of Mexico will present the 2009 Employment and Labor Law Institute Oct. 9 at the State Bar Center in Albuquerque. The Employment and Labor Law Section of the State Bar is co-sponsoring the continuing legal education program.
The State Bar has assembled a roster of prominent legal experts including Equal Employment Opportunity Commissioner and Acting Chair Stuart J. Ishimaru, the Honorable Paul J. Kelly, the Honorable Michael D. Bustamante and the Honorable Linda M. Vanzi. Attorneys with many years of experience in the practice area as well as those with less experience will leave with an understanding of recent developments and a clear vision of the challenges that lie ahead.
"The labor and employment law landscape is undergoing a dramatic change, and it is our responsibility to keep abreast of the recent developments in legislation," said Danny W. Jarrett, managing partner of Jackson Lewis LLP's Albuquerque office. Jarrett is chair of the State Bar's Employment and Labor Law Section and a presenter at the seminar.
