Elder Law Attorneys to Focus on Medicaid and Mental Health
Albuquerque, N.M.—The State Bar of New Mexico Elder Law Section is sponsoring the upcoming 9th Annual Spring Elder Law Seminar which will include an update on Medicaid law and mental health treatment guardianship. The continuing legal education program will be at the State Bar Center May 11.
Featured speakers include Sara Traub and Nell Graham Sale of Pregenzer Baysinger Wideman & Sale, PC; Ellen Leitzer from the Law Office of Ellen Leitzer; Juan Baca from the District Attorney’s Office; Mark Oberman, mental health social worker; and Kortni Jones, mental health treatment guardian.
The Elder Law Section seeks to facilitate and improve the law and practice of law in areas of particular concern to the elderly, including preserving and enhancing the rights of physically and mentally challenged individuals with respect to care, housing and asset management and to lead, coordinate and serve as a coordinating agent and clearinghouse for the efforts of the various agencies involved in service to the elderly.
