Pamelya Herndon to Receive Public Lawyer of the Year Award
Albuquerque, N.M.—The Public Law Section has named Pamelya Herndon the recipient of the 2012 Public Lawyer Award. Herndon, currently the executive director of the Southwest Women’s Law Center, is being recognized for her long career in public service and her dedication to public law and the people of New Mexico. The award ceremonies will be held at 4 p.m., May 4, in the Roundhouse Rotunda in Santa Fe. Members of the legal community and media are cordially invited to attend.

The State Bar of New Mexico was organized in 1886 and is composed of more than 8500 members. Its purposes are to aid the courts in administering justice and preserving the rule of law, and to foster a high standard of integrity and competence within the legal profession.
