State Bar Sponsors Health Law Symposium on Oct. 8
Albuquerque, N.M. – The 2009 Health Law Symposium will be held Oct. 8 at the State Bar Center in Albuquerque. The Health Law Section of the State Bar of New Mexico is sponsoring the continuing legal education event.
Special guest speakers include Justina Trott, Women’s Health Services; Dan Moore, GuideStar USA, Inc.; Scott Benbow, Philanthropy 2020.com; Bob Mayer, New Mexico Department of Health; Melinda Silver, New Mexico Public Regulation Commission; Mari Spaulding-Bynon, Insure New Mexico; Morris Chavez, New Mexico Public Regulation Commission; Patricia Montoya, Coalition for Health Care Quality; and Professor Robert Schwartz, UNM School of Law.
Topics will include special federal health care reform, nonprofit health care organizations, quality initiatives in health care, rationing and health care reform, AARA funding, and developments at the state level.
