The State Bar of New Mexico Public Law Section is an organization whose members are interested in issues concerning the representation of, or the appearance before, governmental entities and public officials. Our purposes are to provide a forum for the discussion of public law issues and to advance the professional interests and competency of attorneys who represent, or appear before, governmental entities and public officials.
Membership in the Public Law Section is open to any lawyer licensed in New Mexico who is interested in these issues. You may join the Public Law Section if:
you are a member in good standing of the State Bar of New Mexico,
you submit a Section Application Form to the State Bar of New Mexico, and
you pay the stated dues with your application.
Non-attorneys who share the concerns of the Section may enroll as associate members of the Section by paying the dues and submitting an application to the State Bar of New Mexico.
You may enroll at any time during the year; however, your membership will expire in December of that same year. Dues for membership in this Section are $15 per calendar year. Please contact 797-6037 if you have a question regarding payment of dues.
The Board of Directors of the Public Law Section generally meets monthly on the second Thursday of the month. For further information on the next Board meeting, contact the Section Chair.
