The Bill Kitts Network Program pairs New Mexico lawyers statewide so that less experienced practitioners can gain insight and practical advice from a more seasoned colleague. Even associates working in a firm with many other attorneys may appreciate having someone to turn to who is not evaluating their work performance.
Select an attorney by viewing the directory arranged by practice area. Then call or use the live e-mail link to contact the volunteer and begin the program.
Discussions can encompass any number of topics such as the transition from law school to practice or, with more experienced practitioners, the transition from one practice setting to another. Communication may include regular phone calls, e-mail exchanges, lunchtime or after-work meetings to discuss areas of interest, concern and further development.
All volunteers acknowledge that they have been in practice for at least five years, have had no formal disciplinary sanctions during the past five years, maintain current malpractice coverage, and are members in good standing of the State Bar of New Mexico. |
