Information Collected and How It is Used
The State Bar of New Mexico collects user profile information such as I.D., name, mailing address, phone, fax, and e-mail address in order to identify user permissions upon login to the site. This information is also used for e-commerce transactions. Credit card information may be stored for later retrieval by the member, if desired, to facilitate payment of dues, registration for a program or online purchases.
Protection of Customer Information
The State Bar of New Mexico uses secure server software (SSL) that encrypts all payment information before it is sent to a remote server. All customer data collected is protected against unauthorized access. The State Bar of New Mexico does not collect information through the use of “cookies” and therefore does not sell information to vendors, direct mail concerns, e-mail listservs, etc. (A "cookie" is a small text file that reports user and page activity.)
