The State Bar of New Mexico invites all New Mexico high school students, grades 9-12, to participate in the second annual Breaking Good Video Contest. The Contest provides students an opportunity to share their creative and artistic talents while learning about non-profit civil legal service providers in their community. Through their work, students will be able to help educate others about providers and the legal services made available to New Mexicans. Videos, judged by a panel of lawyers, judges and and local media arts representatives, will be evaluated according to content, originality, purpose, and production. Judges will evaluate the finalist videos, picking three winners.

Cash prizes are provided by the State Bar of New Mexico Legal Services and Programs Committee
  • First Place: $1,000
  • Second Place: $750
  • Third Place: $500
  • $500 is awarded to the teacher of the first place winner
Winners receive their awards at the annual Albuquerque Bar Association Law Day Luncheon in early May. A plaque will be awarded to the winning school. The State Bar may use winning videos as public service announcements.
