About

The Bar Bulletin is the official publication of the State Bar of New Mexico and is published every Wednesday. It includes the complete text of advance opinions issued each week by the New Mexico Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals, writs of certiorari, the list of published and unpublished Court of Appeals' opinions, the legal education calendar, notices and announcements, and classified advertising. Letters to the editor and articles/stories of interest to the membership are also published. The circulation of approximately 9,000 includes all practicing attorneys in New Mexico, court officials, federal judges, libraries, other subscribers, and advertisers.

Contributions and announcements are welcome, but the State Bar reserves the right to select material to be published. Unless otherwise specified, publication of any announcement or statement is not deemed to be an endorsement by the State Bar of the views expressed therein, nor shall publication of any advertisement be considered an endorsement by the State Bar of the product or service involved.

Cover Artwork
Now Accepting Art for 2016 Issues

Each week, the Bar Bulletin features artwork from a New Mexican artist. At this time we are soliciting for artists and galleries to submit artwork to be displayed on 2016 covers of the Bar Bulletin. Each artist is credited on the cover and their short biography will be printed inside the issue. Featured artists will receive a copy of the issue which exhibits their work and a print of the cover on gloss paper. A variety of artwork types, mediums, and subjects can be accepted. We welcome new and repeat artists! For more information and official requirements, please see the Submission Requirements.

Now accommodating horizontal artwork!

While we have not accepted horizontal artwork in the past, we are experimenting with displaying horizontal images on the cover for 2016. For exact dimensions, refer to the Submission Requirements (above).

To be considered each artist must submit the following COMPLETED documents:
Artist Release Form
Artist Information Sheet
Digital artwork files (see Submission Requirements)

Know an artist you'd like to see on the cover of the Bar Bulletin? Send them the 2016 Call for Cover Art.
