Family Law Attorneys to Focus on Domestic Issues
Albuquerque, N.M.—The State Bar of New Mexico Family Law Section is sponsoring the upcoming Basics of Family Law which will cover a wide range of topics including child custody and support, spousal support, domestic violence, family court, and divorce. The continuing legal education program will be at the State Bar Center March 9.
Featured speakers include Tiffany Oliver Leigh and Jennifer deGraauw of Little, Gilman-Tepper and Batley PA; Maria Montoya Chavez of Sutin Thayer & Browne PC; Mary Ann Burmester and Allison Pieroni of Atkinson & Kelsey PA; Kathryn Terry of Walther Family Law; James E. Bristol of Bristol Family Law LLC; and Hon. Alisa Hadfield and Hon. Gerald Lavelle of the 2nd Judicial District Court.
The Family Law Section seeks to formally recognize the importance of domestic relations law and its complex, sensitive and rapidly changing status. The section provides a forum within the bar through which the study of domestic relations law is encouraged and fostered so that the practice of domestic relations law is improved. The section constantly seeks better ways to ensure that children's interests are protected.
