State Bar Sponsors Estate Planning and Tax Symposium Sept. 24-25
Albuquerque, N.M. – The 2009 Estate Planning and Tax Symposium will be held Sept. 24-25 at the State Bar Center in Albuquerque. The State Bar Real Property, Trust and Estate Section and the Taxation Section are co-sponsoring the continuing legal education event.
Special guest speakers are Professor of Law Daniel Simmons of the University of California, Davis, School of Law, and Rick Homans, secretary of the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department. Topics will include special needs trusts, conservation easements, irrevocable life insurance trusts, charitable giving, gross receipts and compensating taxes, and updates on state and federal laws.
