Friday AM: Microsoft Excel for Lawyers & Legal Staff

Friday AM: Microsoft Excel for Lawyers & Legal Staff

Microsoft Excel for Lawyers and Legal Staff (2.8 credits)
If you are like most lawyers, you’re either under utilizing Excel or not using it at all. In this seminar, we start with the basics and work our way up from there. You’ll learn powerful ways that Excel can improve your work product and make your law practice more efficient: produce fiduciary accounting, amortization schedules, disbursement schedules, bill summaries, and graphical representations of data (pie charts, bar graphs, etc.). We’ll also cover many useful formulas for use with dates, numbers, text and logic.

This hands-on course will teach you all you need to know about Microsoft Excel in the context of a legal practice. Bring your laptop to gain practical knowledge while learning to utilize basic and advanced techniques in your existing legal documents. Attend this program and learn to master techniques in Microsoft Excel to save time, create better legal documents and streamline your legal process. You must bring your laptop with you. For the best hands-on learning experience, in person attendance is encouraged.

Extensive course materials are offered with this course; the materials will be emailed to attendees prior to the program. No printed materials will be provided upon arrival at the CLE.

Mac Users: this hands-on course will be taught using the PC version of Microsoft Word and Excel; you are welcome to follow along on the Mac version of the program, however some essential functions may be different than the presented content for PC users. If you have questions that are not answered during the seminar, you will be able to contact the presenter directly with any specific inquiries following the class.

Please note: for remote-access programs, each registrant MUST access the program from individual devices (i.e. computer, table, mobile or office phone). Groups of attorneys who access a program together from one device will not receive credit.
